Flew with my A30s for about 25 hours. Sent the A30s back to Bose. A20s are superior to the A30s in every way other than weight and slightly better comfort. I mainly fly helicopter. I had about 2 hours with them in my airplane, and the rest was in the helicopter for work. They seemed fine in my plane honestly.

Still Bose flagship model with best specs. For mics; 700 has got eight of them where QC45’s got six. So call quality is just clearer with the 700’s. The noise canceling on the 700’s is customizable (NC 1-10, off and aware) where on the 45’s it’s either NC on or aware mode. Having said that, the 45’s are by no means bad headphones. Clearly, the red and white blinking thing is a persistent issue with this particular model, and luck of the draw appears to be the case on whether or not you get either a cat offering to replace them for free or offering a discount to buy a replacement pair. You’ll just have to select QC45 as the output device and the boom mic as the input device.
