I don't prefer knock off Lego, but I'm also pragmatic: there are sets that just can't be bought for reasonable money on the second hand market. Lego is still superior quality and certainly has higher quality printing with much more consistency. But the gap in quality isn't enough to justify the price a lot of the time. Modular shelving so it can be placed at any height, 20" depth will accommodate larger sets like the Disney castle, and they can easily be chained together for a really large display.
